Boston Consulting Group was founded in 1963 by Bruce Henderson. Bruce appears to have had a keen sense of opportunity: even before founding BCG, he was willing to drop out of Harvard Business School a mere 90 days before graduation to work for the Westinghouse Corporation. 18 years later Bruce became Westinghouse’s youngest vice president ever at the age of 37.
